classJoin an artistic summer camp specializing in GLASS!
For kids ages 9+ (and adults too! See our GlassClass.com website for more information)

Your child will work in the studio of a local glass artist creating fused glass, mosaics and jewelrymaking. Each day will be packed with exciting projects. You will learn to:

Returning students will be able to do more advanced projects in their own area of interest, including advanced lampwork. Scroll down to see some of the projects students have created!

Special Workshops in Glass Fusing

$60 for 1.5 hour fusing workshop - all materials included.

You will be able to choose from a variety of projects:

  • (1) 6" x 6" candy dish
  • (1) 7" x 7" candy dish or small serving dish
  • (4) 3.25" x 3.25" condiment dishes or useful for rings & earrings
  • (1) 5.5" x 5.5" dish with (1) 3.25" x 3.25" dish

Nice offering of colored pieces, stringers and dichroic glass accents for your artwork. Other shapes and projects may be available. Each project will be fired and shaped to perfection!

In your workshop you will learn how to use a variety of machines to cut and shape your glass. There will also be pre-cut shapes and stringers available for decoration.

Monday - Friday (or days indicated) from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM; pick up before 3:30 PM

$250 for three-day week - as scheduled, or you pick the days!
$75 per day for special Studio Day camps
$60 for special 1.5 hr fusing workshop

fishbottleOur state-of-the-art studio is located in the Duke Forest area, a few minutes from the Duke Middle School campus. Convenient to Durham, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Durham & Orange Counties.

About your instructor:

Christal Cerrone has been teaching stained glass for over 25 years. She also has 12 years of experience teaching art in public and private schools, grades K-12. She has a B.A. in art education and an M.A.T. in instructional media. We look forward to meeting your child and working with them in the studio!
